Think-Act-Share Business Habits – On Managing a Project

The Simplest yet Powerful Business Habits Newsletter

In order to complete the project ontime, It is not necessary that all the tasks to be completed ontime, except the critical path activities.

Following are the disciplines to be considered in managing projects

  1. Identify the constraint process path ( critical path) and non constraint process path in the project. Ensure constraint path is supported by the non constraint path.
  2. Reduce the total lead time by half and add the buffer at the end of project.
  3. Don’t multitask, start and finish the task without switching between other tasks.
  4. Make sure every task is started only when all the inputs are available.
